Connect Gmail when you want to import selected messages instead of forwarding them as files. The connection belongs to the member who authorized it.
In Notes, connect Gmail under Settings → Connections instead.
Gmail reads mail only. Your calendars are a separate Google Calendar connection.
The picker lists your labels. Open one to see its messages, and use the search box to narrow them down. The preview shows the sender, the subject, and how many attachments a message has.
Each message you import is stored as an email file (.eml) with its full content.
Attachments of an imported message become documents of their own, linked to the email they came with. The email shows how many attachments it brought in, and each attachment shows which email it belongs to.
Some attachments are left out: embedded images such as logos, very small images, calendar invites, files in a format yggy cannot read, and files that are too large. The email names each one it left out and why.
Example: connect the mailbox, then open Sources → New → Upload file, choose Gmail, open the Invoices label, and import Q3 vendor invoices. The email and its two PDF invoices appear as three linked documents. In Notes, attach the same message to a note with Attach from connections.
See Provider OAuth for availability, reconnect, and disconnect.
