Search

The Graph page has a node search overlay.

  1. Select Search nodes, or press Cmd+K on macOS and Ctrl+K elsewhere.
  2. Enter part of a label.
  3. Select a result.

Results are grouped by type, such as entity, document, project, user, or triple. Selecting a result closes the overlay and focuses the graph on that record.

Search uses text terms. It does not interpret person: prefixes or natural-language questions. Use Chat for questions that need several graph operations.

Data Explorer provides paginated tables for entities, triples, and documents. Use it when you need a sortable list instead of a network view.

Semantic & Vector Search (Hybrid Retrieval)

Section titled “Semantic & Vector Search (Hybrid Retrieval)”

For conversational inquiries and agent workflows (such as Chat and MCP tools), Yggdrasil uses Hybrid Graph-RAG:

  1. Entity & Triple Embeddings: Entities and triples are embedded into vector space during document ingestion using verbalized natural-language representations.
  2. Dense Vector Search: Natural-language questions (e.g. “suppliers providing components to Dresden”) retrieve top seed entities and facts via cosine similarity without needing exact keyword matches.
  3. Deterministic Graph Expansion: The query engine expands the surrounding 1-to-2 hop subgraph connections from the seed nodes, ensuring grounded, verifiable citations without hallucination.
